Miss Emoyeni Mall to crown its queen

This year’s instalment of the annual Miss Emoyeni Mall will be on Saturday October 31.

This is after the pageant had to be called off in April due to the outbreak of Covid-19. Organisers of this annual event, Emoyeni Mall, said they have just finalised auditions and are now ready for the final showdown.

“Everything is in place and we are ready to host this pageant. We have just concluded auditions. This proved a great success with locals showing a huge interest,” said the mall’s marketing manager, Nomfundo Zitha. She apologised for having to postpone this year’s competition at the last minute.

“We had actually planned to host the show in April, but had to abandon our plans after the country was placed on lockdown.

“Even beforehand, there were many young girls from our area who had shown an interest in the pageant. This is one of the reasons why we decided to go ahead with the show as previously planned,” explained Zitha. Just like in all the previous instalments, there will be lots of great prizes on offer for the contestants.

The grand finale will be staged at the mall in accordance with all safety and health regulations. “We will follow all the regulations. We will not allow entry to anyone without face masks. So, come enjoy with us in a responsible manner as we crown our queen,” she concluded.
