Licensing fees now paid at DCSSL

The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison (DCSSL) has taken over revenue collection for all licensing fees at the City of Mbombela.

MBOMBELA – Even though the department didn’t divulge the reasons for doing so, its spokesperson, Musi Moeti confirmed the takeover.

“It is true that the department has taken over the revenue collection that officially became effective as of July 2020. “Therefore, this means that all licensing fees should be directly paid into the earlier advertised or listed banking accounts belonging to community safety, security and liaison,” confirmed Moeti.

He said the fees encompass the licensing of vehicles, issuing of vehicle ownership certificates, learner’s and driver’s licences, among others. “We want to urge the public to note these changes that all licence fees are no longer payable to the City of Mbombela’s banking account, but to those that are linked to the department. It is important that we stress this so that the public doesn’t get confused.

“Members of the public must also note that various DLTCs have different reference numbers that must be included when such payments are made,” he stressed.

Moeti said the licensing centres are at Mbombela (Nelspruit DTLC, The Grove Shopping Centre), Hazyview, Barberton and White River.

“The fees should now be paid into the Standard Bank account and the reference numbers vary according to the centres where these services are rendered. All the new banking details are now available at the specified centres,” advised Moeti. He urged the public to call Dumisane Lekhuleni on 013-766-1566 for further enquiries regarding the payments.
