MFS makes your retirement journey worthwhile

The management of MFS Retirement Advisory Services had an educational luncheon with its clients from Mbombela at Orange Restaurant on Friday September 25.

Lazzy Mphasane, group CEO of MFS Holdings, said, “This marks our second year of operating in Mbombela and we want to assure our members that when they enter the new chapter of their lives, which is retirement, we are here to hold their hand until the end.

We would like to make the journey a worthwhile chapter for them; one to walk with pride. Retirement is not the end of the road,” explained Mphasane. “The luncheon aims to empower them with knowledge about our services, hence we assist them to make the right decisions for the future,” he said.

Maj Gen Museng Mashoala, the former chief director of the Department of Defence, empowered the clients when he shared his testimony. “With other pension funds, the last time you know about the value of your money is when you retire, whereas MFS keeps you updated and religiously pays your money.

Your children also benefit from it. The advantage of this service is that you will access your pension to the last cent. I also recommended MFS to my former employer, because there are benefits in investing your money with them,” he said.

Anthony Sibuyi, the former principal of Mankayane Secondary School and Croc Valley Farm, said he was happy that he had made the right decision about transferring his money from the Government Pension Fund to MFS before his retirement.

Agnes Thoko Mazibuko, the principal of Ifalethu Primary, who is a member of MFS, said she looks towards to her rewards from the company once she retires.

“I want all my pension money to come to me. I have planned for it and that is what MFS offers,” she said. The company was established in 1996 by two entrepreneurs who saw a gap in the market for advisory services within the retirement landscape.

Their joint cumulative experience in the financial services industry spans approximately 50 years. Thus MFS Retirement Advisory Services was born.

Over the years, it continued to identify gaps in the market and found innovative ways to close these. This led to the birth of MFS Holdings. Its aims to be the leading and most agile independent retirement and financial advisory services company in Africa.

Its mission is to provide effective tailor-made financial solutions to all its clients, to build long-term relationships and provide a hub of services that anticipate clients’ needs through research and innovation.

MFS has branches all over the country, including Pretoria, Vereeniging, Johannesburg, Durban, Port Shepstone and Mafikeng.

In the City of Mbombela Local Municipality, its offices are located at 37 Brown Street, office numbers 1 and 3, fifth floor, Midcity Building.
