Nkomazi author hopes to motivate others

Local bubbly Author, Sifiso Sambo (26) recently launched his new book, Impela inhlupheko Ayihlekwa. He told Mpumalanga News how this childhood dream materialised.

Sambo discovered his love of writing in high school. “I used to write short stories and my schoolmates enjoyed reading them.

They always wanted me to write more. That inspired me to do so!” However, he did not follow his dream of
being an author after matric. “I registered to study mechanical engineering at the Central University of Technology.”

Sambo rekindled with his love of writing when he decided to write a book about a subject close to his heart. “I decided to write a book to motivate young people around the country and build black excellence. I want young black people to be motivated and own their dreams.”

Sambo said it was not easy writing the book as he had to juggle it with his studies.

“My writing schedule was all over the place. If I did not have any assignments and reading to do, I would focus on my book.”

His dream finally came true when he finished his book. “It was finally launched in July. This was a dream come true!”

Sambo’s family are proud of his achievements. “My family think that my book is inspirational, motivating and
enlightens people. The black youth have challenges, but that should not hinder them from succeeding in whatever they set their minds on.”

His future plans are to keep pushing and touching people with broken hearts. And seeing the black community finally be successful and opening doors for their descendants for years to come.
