SASSA Mpumalanga pays 2 500 social relief beneficiaries
The Mpumalanga SASSA office has so far succeeded to effect payment of the special Social Relief Distress Fund of R350 for unemployed citizens in the province.
The Mpumalanga Region has so far paid 2500 beneficiaries who have applied for the social relief distress grant. These payments were implemented from 15-27 May 2020.
Currently, the agency is processing all the received applications and qualifying applicants will be notified in due course.
SASSA is encouraging all qualifying people to continue to apply for the special social relief distress grant.
The grant will assist unemployed people who are unable to make income due to the lockdown regulations.

People who wish to apply must not go to SASSA offices for special SRD Covid 19 grant. Applications are made electronically, as mentioned below to avoid scams roving on social platforms.

Beneficiaries must note that payment will be effected through a channel of their choice, bank account, e-wallet, cashsend or through the post office.
