Three suspects appear in court for alleged stock theft

Preliminary investigations revealed that the men have allegedly involved in stock theft before.

GRASKOP – Three men were arrested on charges of stock theft on May 12.

The arrest occurred a routine patrol. Police spotted a heavily loaded white Toyota Corolla, and instructed the driver to stop. The police then searched the vehicle and found a large amount of meat in the boot. When the police questioned those in the car, the men failed to give a clear explanation. They were then arrested for stock theft.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the men have allegedly involved in stock theft before.

The suspects, Isaac Khosa (70), Sibusiso Khosa (21) and Gregory Khosa (26) appeared at the Graskop Magistrate’s Court on May 13 on charges of stock theft and were granted R1 500 bail each. The trio is expected to appear again on May 21.

SAPS provincial commissioner in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Mondli Zuma expressed his gratitude to the police for their vigilance in the fight against crime, even during these challenging times.

“These women and men in blue showed commitment to their work and must be commended, as they do not take things for granted but verify and thoroughly checked information. With such committed and dedicated members, the community can be assured of their safety and that of their property.”
