Silulumanzi is committed to bringing you safe drinking water

Silulumanzi assures its valued customers that it will deliver sustainable and safe drinking water at all times. It has implemented an emergency procedure to mitigate the contact and spreading of Covid-19.

Following the announcement of the 21-day lockdown by President Cyril Ramaphosa to curb the spread of Covid-19 , Silulumanzi advises customers as follows:

1. Our customer service offices will be closed from 13:00 on Thursday March 26, until further notice.
2. Our 24-hour control room will continue to be operational and will be available for all enquiries, account queries and water service interruption reports.
3. Our dedicated staff will be on duty, ensuring that we continue to render water services. To protect our staff, we have introduced a shift roster, hence our response times may be slightly delayed. We therefore request that you be patient while we respond to your service requests.
4. Under the circumstances, we hereby wish to assure our valued customers that we are making every endeavour to minimise any potential water interruptions.

Is drinking tap water safe?

The answer is yes. You can continue to use and drink tap water as, according to the World Health Organisation, the Covid-19 virus has not been detected in water.
Silulumanzi will continue to deliver sustainable and safe drinking water at all times.
