Lushaba passed away on January 30 after a long illness.

The Mpumalanga Department of Education mourns the passing away of Mr Mfana Lushaba who was the Chief Director for District Coordination.

Lushaba passed away on January 30 after a long illness.

Lushaba served the department in different portfolios as a teacher, principal, district director, chief director district coordination.

He has represented the department nationally and internationally and in all instances his prowess was marveled by all and sundry.

His dedication and commitment to improve the delivery of education in Mpumalanga Province was beyond reproach.

The MEC for Education,Bonakele Majuba has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Lushaba family.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing away of our colleague who has been a reservoir of resourcefulness, a committed colleague of note and someone who would rise above the expected norm to serve the people of the province. We are completely broken and shattered in the true spirit of the word.
We wish that the family may find strength during this difficult time of bereavement. May his soul rest in peace!” said Majuba.
