Victims’ families disappointed in court again

There are still outstanding DNA results of two of the victims allegedly killed by Mndawe.

The murder case against Thabiso Julius Mndawe (25) was once again postponed due to incomplete forensic investigations regarding the remains of Felicia Mndlovo and Noxolo Mdluli.
Mndawe briefly appeared in Masoyi Magistrate’s Court today.

The presiding magistrate Michael Phiri said the matter will be postponed to March 20 because there are still outstanding DNA results linking Mndawe to the victims.

Outside the court Moses Mndlovo, Felicia’s father, said his family had been informed by officials from the laboratory in Pretoria that samples of his daughter’s DNA would be taken for further investigations to the Netherlands. This was allegedly because the local laboratory could not match them precisely. “Everything will be clear once the DNA results are back from overseas. There is nothing much we can do than to wait again until the finalisation of those results,” he said.
