Probability of load-shedding low for the week

Eskom has not implemented rotational load-shedding for the past 10 days.

In a statement from Eskom, it is said that while the generating plant performance has improved, the plant continues to remain vulnerable and any unexpected shift such as an increase in unplanned breakdowns could result in load-shedding at short notice.

Customers are advised to continue using electricity sparingly by switching off geysers as well as non- essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand.
