KaBokweni’s Mzwakhe Shongwe missing

Shortly after his arrival, he told his colleague that he was heading to Marite and never returned, his colleague said.

KABOKWENI – Mzwakhe Shongwe (25) from KaBokweni who went missing last weekend was found dead in Marite.

This was confirmed by his colleague, Fana Shongwe, who last saw him last week Saturday. KaBokweni’s Captain Shelly Nsima said she would enquire about the case this morning to share more details about the investigation.

Mzwakhe left home on his way to work in Acornhoek before his disappearance. His father, Moses Shongwe, also requested him to drive the vehicle with registration CP 91 HD GP that was in the yard, to his aunt’s place in Marite.

“We were at a family ceremony when I left him on my way to Johannesburg. After I’d left, he called me thereafter to say he was going to KaBokweni. I Instructed him to drive the vehicle with registration CP 91 HD GP that was in the yard, to his aunt’s place in Marite. I told him not to drive alone, but he insisted that he was fine. After a few hours, I called him again to ask if he had arrived in Marite. He replied saying he had used another route and I told him that I did not understand his explanation. He hung up and when I tried to call him for the third time, his phone rang unanswered and that was the end of it,” the father said at the time.
