The most caring nurse to be announced tonight
Provincial winners will represent provinces at the national finals later this year.
The most caring nurse in the province will officially be announced and handed with the annual Marilyn Lahana Caring Award tonight.
This will happen at Nutting House today.
“The awards are administered by the Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) on behalf of the Marilyn Lahana Caring Trust, where fellow nurses, patients, former patients and community members nominate a nurse that has shown outstanding care and selflessness in the course of her or his duty,” says Mzwandile Shongwe, secretary of the organisation.
Shongwe adds that provincial winners will represent provinces at the national finals to be held in Pretoria later this year. Nthabiseng Sigudla from Phola Nsikazi clinic won the title during the national level last year.
The MEC of Health Sasekani Manzini, and DENOSA’s Deputy General Secretary, Kwena Manamela, will hand over the award to the deserving winner.
