Boost your child’s marks with Vodacom e-school

Vodacom is running a competition and the winning school will get R10 000, their essay will be published in Lowvelder and all the schools are part of Partners for Possibility initiative in the Lowveld.

Vodacom has, as part of its 25th birthday celebrations and its intention to support the community, agreed to support the Lowvelder/MP News school pages project for the next three months.

This campaign includes an exciting essay writing competition. And yes, you’ve guessed it and in true Vodacom style, the prizes for the winning school and winning author, are truly awesome.

The subject matter is: What impact does Vodacom e-school have on a learner’s life? And then suggestions on how Vodacom can improve this said programme over the next 25 years.

About the assignment

• This assignment will require that learners do extensive research on the subject; its implications and it might even require them to look into the possibilities of what the future of education might look like. All of this, before they even start writing a thought-through and structured essay also containing suggestions for the future.
• For the winners though, the reward will be quite significant and worthy of their commitment to the assignment.
• The winning school will get R10 000 – yes, indeed!
• The learner who presents the best essay, as will be chosen by Vodacom, will win a new laptop.
Lowvelder will interview the winner and publish the essay.
• Presentation and preparation is critical. The quality and educational value of the content, is most important. Visuals, graphs, and so on may be included in essay.
• The closing date for the competition is set for September 30. The winner will be announced soon after.
• Vodacom will judge these essays and their decision will be final.
