Vacancy: Junior Digital Content Creator

Job description

 The ideal candidate must be able to:

• Quality check our Digital platforms (Websites and Social Media)
• Community Management on Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Upload Cover Images on Social Platforms, Change Sliders on our websites
• Work with relevant software such as Photoshop, In-Design and video editing tools (necessary training will be provided)
• Measure web traffic and compile reports in Google Analytics and Google Data Studio
• Write and source information to generate unique online content
• Be confident in all social media and be on top with all the newest digital trends
  • Manage daily online schedule and content-flow planning
• Work with Microsoft office and Google calendar
• Publish , update and share breaking news content on digital platforms
• Take photos and videos for Digital Platforms
• Contribute Creative ideas for our Digital Platforms.
  

  Requirements

• Relevant digital experience and love for all things Digital

• Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Afrikaans
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office ,Search Engines and Social Media.
• Smart phone & Computer proficient

• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
• Access to a smart phone
• Be able to work after hours , weekends and public holidays when required
• Excellent communication, ability to work in groups and under pressure

The following would count in your favour

• Hands-on experience with content-management systems (e.g. WordPress)

• Basic knowledge of media law
• Understanding of website analytics and related tools
• Familiarity with SEO principles

The digital-media industry is a fast-paced, ever-changing environment that requires the applicant to be dynamic, enthusiastic and enjoy challenges.  Many of the local events we cover take place on weekends and public holidays.
