Lowveld walkers homecoming

The team managed to raise R10 000 for students who want to enrol at University of Mpumalanga next year

Members of Lowveld Walkers were welcomed back home yesterday after completing the second annual 320 kilometre fun walk from Pretoria to Mbombela.

Joseph Mashaba, the founder of the initiative said the walk was a huge success. “This year it was even better because we had a very dedicated team,” he said. “Although there were injuries sustained, the team had good professional nurses.”
The team was welcomed by some community members from Matsulu, the City of Mbombela and sponsors of the Lowveld Walkers. The team was received well with plenty of food, love and entertainment.
