“This event is very important for us as a province. This is where you can come with your family and enjoy as the race which is about promoting social cohesion, team building, knowing each other better and sharing best practices and culture.
To me, this race is very critical as it is also to boost economic development in the province,” she said.

She added that she is happy that the department of community safety, security and liaison is involved to provide the necessary support and to ensure safety of road users during the cycling tour.

“Let me wish you all a safe cycling weekend in the downhills and uphills of the province. I am happy that part of your terms and conditions states that as you ride, you cannot leave your partner, if the other one is in trouble, you can assist each other. That is, for us, team building, ” she said.
