Missing teenage girl wanted by her family

The family of a 14-year-old girl, Nompendulo Nhlamulo Zwane, a grade eight learner at Portia Shabangu Secondary in Tekwane South are looking for her whereaabouts.

Nompendulo who lives with her grandmother at the Agricultural College, went missing on May 18.

“She told her granny that she was going to fetch her phone which she had left with her friend at Tekwane, but she never returned home,” Ms Doris Zwane, Nompendulo’s mum.

“I went to her friend who told me she never came to her place on the day she went missing. Together with her friend, we looked for her in many areas in Tekwane, but could not find her,” she said.

She added that she had also searched for her at an initiation school in Newskom after someone suggested that she might have run to the school. “I didn’t find her. I beg the community to help us find her. It’s even hard to eat anything or sleep not knowing where my child is,” she added.

Nompendulo’s disappearance has been reported to the Nelspruit police and a case of a missing person was opened.
