ANC justifies premier’s appointment

The ANC in Mpumalanga has welcomed the decision of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to endorse their recommended candidate for the position of premier of Mpumalanga, and appointed Refilwe Mtshweni.

According to the provincial spokesperson, Sasekani Manzini, “The ANC Provincial Executive Committee (PEC), recommended three names to fill the position of premier of the province to the NEC, consistent with the Polokwane Resolution, and the name of Cde Refilwe Mtshweni was the first in order of priority.”

“We have no doubt that Cde Refilwe Mtshweni will lead the people of Mpumalanga with humility, honesty and at all times uphold the oath of office she will take as premier of the province.”
