Having started as a hawker, selling fruits and vegetables on the streets around Sekhukhune, and being a taxi driver for years taught Myboet Thubane the founder and owner of Myboets Transport that patience is the mother of success.
Starting with only one taxi and a midi-bus around 1989, Thubane now owns more than 50 fleet in Mpumalanga, Phalaborwa and Johannesburg and has created plenty of job opportunities.
Myboets Transport and its luxury coaches provide services for private hiring which include taking tourist attraction sites in the country and neighbouring countries, scholar transport and staff buses.
“Our services include long-distance trips anywhere across the country. We are also available for cross-border trips upon application at a reasonable fee. Our prices always meet the customer’s needs,” says Myboets Transport management.
On April 26, six more luxury coaches were unveiled for Myboets Transport at MAN trucks and Bus Company in Mbombela. An additional two will be unveiled before the end of the year.
“The new coaches have recliner seats for the comfort and relaxation of our clients and a flat screen to keep customers entertained and updated with current news while on board.
The coaches also have air conditioners to cool off customers on hot days. We also have charging points attached to the seats to help charge your phones while enjoying the comfort of our buses to your destination.”
Management says they are in the process of adding free Wi- Fi service in the coaches.
“We provide discounted rates for the surrounding communities and at times provide free transportation for needy bereaved families upon request. Our staff and drivers are well trained in customer service,” said management.
The company prides itself in having created job opportunities for more than 60 employees and an endless list of part-time jobs.
Beside striving to provide the best privately hired transportation, the company also empowers and provides practical skills for youth in the transport industry. When space is available, they hire them.
For its Corporate Social Investment projects, Myboets Transport continues to touch the lives of many in a positive manner. The company has built a number of houses for needy families in Mariti, near Bushbuckridge.
The company also supports different non-profit organisations across Mbombela and Bushbuckridge.
