Ziyaphenduka Marketing and Events Logistics will host the launch of the Mpumalanga Liberation Heritage Route in the Gert Sibande District Municipality.
As part of this launch, the Annual Pixley ka Isaka Seme Charity Golf Day will also take place on March 14, 2019 at the exclusive Graceland Casino and Resort in Secunda.
The golf jamboree will be paying tribute to Pixley ka Isaka Seme (born October 1, 1881 and passed on June 7, 1951).
Linked to the golf challenge for which the tee-off will be at 08.00, MEC for Economic Development and Tourism, Mr Eric Kholwane, will hand out goodies to successful players during the prize-giving dinner in the evening.
The project is supported by Pixley ka Isaka Seme’s family, Mr Maxwell Vezi Seme. He will be representing the family since the only surviving daughter of Pixley is too old to travel from Durban.
There will also be the Annual Pixley ka Isaka Seme Memorial Lecture which will soon be held in Daggakraal.
Other memorial lectures paying homage to other political luminaries who lived in the Gert Sibande District Municipality such as Mahatma Gandhi, Saul Mkhize and Gert Sibande himself will be hosted.
