Bring these along to register at UMP

Students who are unable to pay the registration fee must bring proof or a letter that they have applied for National Students Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

Registration will be opening at the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) on Monday January 28. Ms Nokukhanya Shongwe, the deputy registrar of academic administration reminds students to remember the following essentials in order to be registered.

South African students should remember the following:
1. Identity document
2. Matric certificate
3. Acceptance letter from the university
4. Proof that the registration fee of R3 900 is paid.

Shongwe adds that students who are unable to pay the registration fee must bring proof or a letter that they have applied for National Students Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
“Our financial aid office will be able to check that they applied for NSFAS,” she said.

International students are urged to bring the following necessities:
1. Police clearance
2. Study permit
3. Medical aid
“These documents are also required by the Department of Home Affairs
4. International students must be able to pay their fees.
Shongwe added that the current glitches with UMP’s bank account number for foreign students will be cleared soon.
