Donor offers R5 000 reward for school’s stolen laptops

The school has been a Click Foundation partner since 2012.

Following the loss of 44 laptops which were stolen during a break-in at Zwelisha Primary School, a reward of R5 000 has been issued by the sponsor of the equipment.

“The Click Foundation is offering a reward of R5 000 for information leading to an arrest or the recovery of the laptops,” said Mr JC Kruger, the regional coordinator of the foundation.

“They were one of the first schools to implement the reading programme called Reading Eggs. The intervention means a lot to the school and the principal,” added Kruger.

The laptops were stolen on November 13. This was the second break-in at the school’s computer room, following an incident last year. The new ones were donated early this year after improving security at the lab and by installing an alarm system.
