Second speed camera still in use despite burns

No arrests had been made so far for the damage caused on both cameras.

Only the bottom parts of the second speed camera was damaged.

“The battery and the camera are still intact and usable,” says Moeti Mmusi communication officer of the department of community safety security and liaison.
He said in October alone more than 27 000 drivers were served with summons for speeding on the same route.
“The camera is still in use, drivers must comply with the rules of the roads and help us to reduce road accidents,” he adds.
