12 victims of N4 multi crash will be buried on Saturday

The 15th victim is still not identified.

Today the families of the taxi passengers and the driver who lost their lives during a tragic accident on the N4 TOLL road between Matsulu and Mbombela met with officials from the provincial department of roads and transport and the Road Accident Fund, in preparation for the victims mass memorial and funeral arrangement.

A mass memorial service for 12 of them, all from areas around Nkomazi Local Municipality will be held at the Mzinti Holiness Church tomorrow from 09:00.
Their mass funeral service will be on Saturday from 06:00 at the same venue.

One of the victim is from Middelburg and the driver is from Bushbuckridge.

The names of the 14 deceased are Mr Sunday Lucky Khoza from Magogeni, Mr Adolph Felix Matikwane from Mbangwane, Mr Vusi Fana Zikhali from Managa, Mr Tumelo Emelda Mlambo from Mbandzeni, Ms Xolile Happy Shungube from Block B,Mr December Mkhatshwa from Mangweni, Mr Adam Khoza from Block C,Mr Hezekiel Khoza from Kamhlushwa,Ms Samkelisiwe Masilela from Sikwahlane,,Ms Nontobeko Mhlabane from Driekoppies, Ms Deborah Skhosana from Middelburg,Ms Athalia Mhlongo Xaba from Block B, Mr Bhekumusa Sibandze from Jeppes and the taxi driver Mr Cedrick Theko from Bushbuckridge.

They all lost their lives on October 25 when the taxi they were travelling in collided head on with an oncoming truck while trying to avoid a Volkswagen Polo which tried to overtook another
truck.
