Community builders to be awarded

In everything set them an example by doing what is good.

WHITE RIVER – This Sunday the Victory Tabernacle Church will host its first service awards ceremony to honour dedicated and hardworking church and community members.

As stipulated in scripture, Titus 2:7-8, “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us”.

The awards will be given to deserving members of the church, community leaders, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders who are playing an important role in the community to enhance social cohesion, safety programmes and a diversity of community work,” explained Past Merridew Mlimi, the church’s spokesperson.

The Victory Tabernacle, situated in 2 Simonsberg Street in Kingsview Extension 3, is a spiritual home for every child of God. It was founded in 1997 by Dr Lovemore and Apostle Kere Manaka.
Their aim is to preach the gospel of truth and reach out to the community of White River and the rest of world.

The church has branches in Mbombela, Pretoria and Hectorspruit.

Their motto and mission statement is based on Revelation 21:3; “And I heard a great voice of heaven saying, behold the tarbernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and they shall be His people and God Himself shall be with them and be their God”.
The service will start from 09:30.
Several government stakeholders and civil organisations will also attend the awards.
