The MEC of education, Mr Sibusiso Malaza says the province is targeting an 80 percent pass rate this year.
Speaking during a media briefing at the Promenade Hotel this morning, Malaza outlined the following tips to help learners with their exam preparations:
* Draw a revision time table and try to follow it;
* Ensure that all material needed are available;
* Join study groups and allow space for individual studying;

* Break revision time into chunks (study and break);
* Decide when you work best and ensure adequate space and enough light;
* Use energizers for relaxation like physical exercise, deep breathing, dancing and singing;
* Get sleep, discourage cramming of work and
* Expose yourself to 30 minutes of sunlight everyday.
