Teenage boy killed by his family
Today the body of the boy will be exhumed by police from the cemetery following a court order from KaNyamazane Magistrate’s Court.
The family of a 17-year-old learner from Mayibuye Secondary School, who was allegedly assaulted to death last week, has been arrested.
Lungile Nkosi’s parents and two of his siblings will appear before the KaNyamazane Magistrate’s Court tomorrow on charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
This comes after Nkosi was assaulted to death by his family after being accused of stealing a phone from his sister on September 6.

“They then informed an undertaker and had his death declared to have been as a result of natural causes. The victim was then buried on September 8,” explained Capt Jabu Ndubane, spokesperson of the Pienaar Cluster.
“Concerned members of the community reported this matter to the police. The suspects were arrested and appeared in court on charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
They were remanded in custody and will re-appear at the same court on Friday, pending their bail application,” she adds.
Police investigations are continuing.
