Did you know why there was a slow traffic flow on the R40 this morning?
Motorists who were already in a hurry to reach their destinations, were surprised by the heavy present of police with the forensic unit on the scene.
The flow of traffic on the busy R40 Madiba drive was delayed this morning after a state vehicle was slightly scratched by a truck which was turning towards Midas direction.
This happened near the traffic robots around 08:05.
“No one was injured, it was just a slight accident between a state vehicle and the truck. The state vehicle sustained a slight dent on its back. All the necessary procedures followed when a state vehicle is involved in an accident including the capturing of the scene were followed, hence the disturbance of traffic flow at that time,”
said Sgt Gerald Sedibe.
He said police were investigating a case of reckless and or negligence driving.
