Caswell Maseko’s wife remanded in custody

On Monday, the suspect was handed over to the police by her legal representative and was arrested.

26-year-old law student, Itumeleng Eunice Maseko was remanded in custody by the Witbank Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday for murder.

Maseko’s remand came after she allegedly fatally stabbed her husband, 30-year-old businessman, Caswell Maseko in the early hours of Saturday morning.

On that dreadful day, the suspect was apparently home with her four month-old daughter and a friend when the victim arrived at their house in Witbank. A physical argument ensued between the couple, which led to the victim being fatally stabbed. It was reported that after the incident, the suspect left the house. Police then launched a manhunt and found the suspect’s car parked at Centurion Mall in Pretoria on the same day.

The case was remanded to September 13, 2018 at the same court for a formal bail application.
