The 15-year-old chess player, Banele Mhango from Lihawu Secondary has put the province on the map.
He won one of the top positions in the African Youth Chess Championship played Kenya.
He won the title of Fide Master, which is the third highest Chess titles behind the International Master and the Grand Master titles

The tourney started on August 11 and finals were played on Saturday where Banele emerged victorious.
