KaNyamazane calm this afternoon

Streets are clean and the situation is calm this afternoon.

After three days of violent protests, with debris and burning tyres in the streets of KaNyamazane, the situation is currently calm.
The streets were cleaned today by some of the protesters. A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they were each paid R200 by some politicians for volunteering to clean up the mess.

The shops are still closed.
KaNyamazane police confirmed that all roads are open and operating normally.

A final meeting to discuss a way forward is expected to take place at KaNyamazane Stadium this afternoon.
