Cefups Academy murder case of learner postponed

The pair is facing one count of murder and 24 counts of administering Corporal Punishment that took place in July 2014.

Moisela Makofane and Mjokhi Jaconia Dlamini who are accused of beating a learner from Cefups Academy to death appeared in Nelspruit Regional Court last Wednesday.

This follows the death of 19-year-old Paballo Seanne who was allegedly beaten to death with a sjambok at Cefups Academy on July 31, 2014.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), these counts are for children who were punished on the day.  The accused was released on a warning and the matter is remanded to August 22 for further investigation.

Seanne died at Mediclinic on the same day she was admitted.
