This morning a convoy of police vehicles were hurled with stones such that they had to use alternative routes to the scene.

“We are currently at the scene, no arrests have been made and roads are still closed,” says Capt Mpho Nonyane, spokesperson of the Acornhoek Cluster.

The MEC of Public Works, Roads and Transport, Mr Gillion Mashego strongly condemns the torching of the government offices.

“The department, together with the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality, will be consulting with relevant stakeholders to pave a way forward,” he said.
