Trio appear in court for possession of dagga

Police found another eight compressed dagga balls attached under the suspect's car.

Three suspects arrested for possession of dagga were released on R2 000 bail each yesterday.

The trio, Mr Mpostol Nkuna (29), Mr John Khoza (31) and Ms Thandazile Mathebula (22) appeared in the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court.

They were arrested on Monday after police discovered compressed dagga balls hidden in the bonnet of the car they were travelling in at Madadeni road.

The police found another eight compressed dagga balls attached under their car.
This was during the stop and search patrols.
The dagga weighed 17.637 kg and worth an estimated street value of R26 455.
