“This is no political killing, but criminality” – Mandla Ndlovu

The details and circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be fully understood and the ANC in Mpumalanga calls on law enforcement agencies to ensure that the law takes its cause to bring the culprits to book.

Acting ANC provincial chairperson, Mandla Ndlovu has condemned in the strongest terms, the killing of an MKMVA member during a a youth league regional general council in Badplaas last Saturday.

“We also want to discourage the insinuations that this is a political killing, the police have not yet established the motives. These speculations are dangerous because they do not assist us in seeking solutions to the problem but attempt to polarise society. We have absolute faith in the police service and the judiciary to get to the bottom of this matter and bring the culprits to book.

“The ANC is a democratic organization which frowns on violence or any form of intimidation. We condemn in the strongest terms the violence that took place at the registration point of an ANCYL Conference in the Gert Sibande region. These barbaric acts of violence have claimed the life of a comrade, who was a member of the MKMVA providing security and marshalling services at the conference

.

The ANC working together with the ANCYL will conduct its own internal investigations and if it is found that any of the culprits involved in these acts of violence are our members, we will act consistently with the prescripts of the ANC constitution, and send out a strong message that violence is not welcomed in the ANC.

“As an organization we believe we have sufficient dispute resolution mechanisms and nothing warrants our members or supporters to engage in any form of violence. May the soul of the departed comrade rest in peace and his killers rot in jail,” he ended.
