Buscor bus torched at Tekwane South

The bus was set ablaze yesterday in the afternoon.

TEKWANE SOUTH –  A  bus was ignited yesterday after members of the community took to the streets to protest after two houses were burnt down.

According to Mike Mkhabela a bus driver at Buscor, his wife woke him up only to discover that the fire was uncontrollable. However, the family managed to escape unharmed. The neighbours the Dludlu family house also caught fire leaving them with no roof over their heads with no injuries reported.

Buscor’s Vian Ndlovu said he could not deny or confirm whether Mkhabela’s house was set alight by their employees. “The bus that was torched was related to the protest and we are waiting for the situation to calm down for the safety of our commuters,” said Ndlovu.

Buscor donated R10 000 to both families who were robbed of their homes.
