ANC Mpumalanga’s dispute to be heard by the national dispute committee

The guns are out among the provincial ANC structures, as the momentum builds up towards the much-vaunted provincial general council Provincial General Council.

MBOMBELA – The matter of the three provincial ANC lobby groups for potential chairpersonship candidates, David Dube, Peter Nyoni and Charles Makola, has been referred to the ANC National Dispute Resolution Committee by the secretary-general, Ace Magashule.
This new development comes after the group expressed their contentious issues regarding the alleged “referee and player”role played by the provincial leadership. They revealed that many branches of the African National Congress were not pleased with the current leadership at a press briefing at the Protea Hotel on Tuesday. As a result, a memorandum was submitted to the secretary-general which detailed various concerns regarding the state of the movement. According to them, Magashule sent them back to the Provincial Executive Committee to address issues in the memorandum after meetings were held to resolve the issues. “We are provisionally proposing May 9 and 10 to meet with you on this matter. This will be confirmed after further consultation with members of the NDRC regarding their availability,” read the statement that was released on April 25 and signed by the deputy secretary-general Jessie Duarte.
