Kanyamazane Marathon Club officially open
After the launch, the club held a fun-run and fun-walk of about 5 km.
The Kanyamazane community has an official marathon club now. The club is called the Kanyamazane Marathon Club and it was officially launched on Saturday at the local stadium.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation, Mpumalanga Athletics and the City of Mbombela Municipality supported the launch. It is said that the club so far has 18 members of all genders and age groups.
After the launch, the club held a fun-run and fun-walk of about 5 km.

The founder of the club said that everyone is welcome to join regardless of where they are from. “The Kanyamazane Marathon Club is for the community of Kanyamazane and surroundings, everyone can join it as long as they will be able to come for training sessions,“ said Sipho Langa.
They train from Monday to Friday from 17.00-18.00.
