Many described her as a revolutionary in her own right while some said she gave South Africans hope that freedom would be gained during a press conference held in Netcare Milpark Hospital this afternoon.
Winnie Madikizela Mandela’s death shook the nation. Tributes have been pouring in on social media following her death after a long illness.

She is survived by her daughters, Zindzi and Zenani. Details of her memorial and funeral services will be announced soon.
