Churches to visit this Easter

Turning Point International Christian Centre under the leadership of Ps Negros Manana at the corner White River/ Plaston road. Service will start on Thursday from 18:00 until Sunday.

Here are some of the churches to visit this Easter weekend:

• St James Presbyterian Church in Matsulu under Rev Nthali started with Easter activities with the Palm Sunday. On Thursday the congregation will participate in the sharing holy communion and observing of the 14 rest stations taken by Jesus Christ before his crucifixion. An all-night service will be held on Saturday evening after committee meetings during the day. The church’s theme is, “Walking in unity in the way of the Cross”.

• Members of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC) will travel all the way to Mhluzi in Middelburg this Easter. Services will also continue in local branches at KaNyamazane, Nhlazatshe, Mashishing and KaBokweni. Weekly service starts at 18:00 everyday and 09:00 every Sunday. This year’s theme is “Restoration of human dignity”.

• Branches of the Alliance Church of Southern African will meet in different places in their districts from Thursday until Sunday. The Hazy-ridge District will meet at Mount View Alliance Church. The church theme is “The power of the cross”. The church also encouraged children to attend the services. They will also be entertained with jumping castles and other fun games.

• Sunrise City Church will host Ps Adam Mongwe and Apostle Dimakatso Mongwe to celebrate the Passover at the Sunrise City Church along the R40 Barberton Road,
Plot 9. The service be held on Friday and Sunday only from 09:00. This year’s theme is “A year of supernatural increase”.
• Changed by the Word Church International Ministries on the R37 road next to Kavinga Guest House and the Rest restaurant will hold services from Friday to Sunday from 11:00. The theme is “When I see the blood I will pass over you”.


• Arise and Shine Christian Worship Centre in Msholozi will celebrate Easter on Friday and Sunday from 10:00.
• Laborers Ministry in Jerusalem will hold services from Friday to Sunday 10:00. People should come prepared to celebrate the power of the resurrection and the power of the cross.
• Bread of Life Ministries will celebrate Easter from Friday to Sunday from 10:00.
• Members of the Church of God of Prophecy ( COGOP) will celebrate their 36th annual Easter convention at Ngwenya Duke from Thursday to Sunday. The theme is Rebuilding the walls, year of success.

• Holy Ghost Fire House under Bishop Alex on 12 Samora Machel Street behind Buscor Bus Terminus in Mbombela. They will host the 2018 Easter Conference under the theme: “The power of Calvary” from Wednesday till Sunday. On Wednesday and Thursday the service will start at 18:00, Friday and Saturday at 9:00 and again at 18:00 and on Sunday at 8:00. Any one is invited to come for the Word of God, deliverance and prophecy. Total deliverance for all.

• Church on the Hill in Mbombela will hold an Easter Convention services. The church is located at 108 Friedenheim Farm, corner KaMagugu and University of Mpumalanga road in Mbombela. On Thursday the service will start at 18:00, on Friday at 09:00 and the second service at 18:00. Saturday it will start at 09:00 and the second service at 18:00. On Sunday it will start at 09:00.
• God’s Word at Work Ministry in Mahushu opposite Dayizenza Shopping Centre will host their Easter Conference and revival from Thursday until Sunday. On Thursday it will start at 18:00. On Friday the first service will start at 09:00 until 13:00, the second service will start at 15:00 to 18:00. On Saturday, the youth and Sunday school kids’ service will start at 09:00 to14:00. The theme is “He is risen”. Wood and transport will be provided.
