Who will DD Mabuza pick as his spokesperson?

With David Mabuza elected as deputy president on Monday, will he retain Zibonele Mncwango as his spokesperson?

Following the cabinet reshuffle announcement, former premier of Mpumalanga, David Mabuza was sworn in as deputy president of the republic on Tuesday.

Yesterday the presidency announced president Cyril Ramaphosa’s new spokesperson, Khusela Diko with effect from March 12. While Mabuza served as premier, Zibonele Mncwango was his spokesperson. Question lies, was it a farewell at the Mpumlanga State of the Province Address between the two last Friday?

Is this a farewell shake of hands between deputy president David Mabuza and Zibonele Mncwango?

Mncwango simply replied when asked for comment, “I am employed permanently at the provincial government. I have nothing to worry about because I am not employed on a contractual basis. However, should I be needed by the deputy president I am willing to go and serve.”
