DD Mabuza bids farewell

He actually confirmed the much talked about issue that he may take up the deputy president post in parliament, thus deputising state president Cyril Ramaphosa with whom they both lead the ANC.

Premier DD Mabuza bid farewell to the people of Mpumalanga at the conclusion of his state of the province address earlier today. He said: “I’m waiting for my next bus-stop. It can either be today or tomorrow. when my bus-stop comes, I will board the bus,” he told guests in attendance who were left spellbound by his utterance.

He actually confirmed the much talked about issue that he may take up the deputy president post in parliament, thus deputising state president Cyril Ramaphosa with whom they both lead the ANC.

He was earlier in the week quoted by a daily national newspaper that he was contemplating ascendancy to the position despite wide rumours that Lindiwe Sisulu or Naledi Pandor would be chosen for the position.

Mabuza, if finally his “bus-stop” eventually arrives, will be the first candidate from Mpumalanga to obtain the second in command seat both in the ANC and in parliament.
