Hotel Promenade distances itself from shooting incident
According to a statement released by Hotel Promenade, the deceased hid in one of the offices after being chased by a group of men before the shooting took place.
In the early hours of Monday, February 12 an unfortunate incident occured at Hotel Promenade located in the CBD.
The deceased, identified as Richard Bhakero, a popular local chef and DJ is alleged to have ran onto the hotel premises and took cover from assailants who were chasing him from a pub, Nelspruit Shisa Nyama also known as Coyotes.
The statement reads as follows, ” The deceased hid away in one of the offices. As the assailants threatened the deceased he put a gun to his head behind closed doors. The deceased was not a guest at our hotel. Local Police are investigating the incident, but we can confirm that none of our Hotel guests were involved or hurt during the incident.”
