Six cars burn at local panelbeater’s workshop

Six cars were burned beyond recognition when a panelbeating workshop at Block C in Tonga caught fire.

This happened around 04:00 on Thursday.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. According to information at the police’s disposal, the owner of the panelbeater received the signal from the alarm system and asked his friend to investigate.

After seeing that the place was on fire, firefighters were called to the scene.

Their quick response prevented further damages to other vehicles parked at the scene.
The total damage to the workshop is estimated at R450 000. The value of the damaged vehicles is not yet known.
