Makhosi Khoza’s expected visit to Mpumalanga postponed

Thousands of ADC members were ready to join her at Kanyamazane over the weekend.

The provincial launch of Makhosi Khoza’s newly formed political party , the African Democratic Change (ADC) which was to take place at Kanyamazane stadium this weekend has been postponed.

The party’s provincial convener, Mr Bonginkosi Swanky Lubisi says that a few technicalities and short notice are reasons for the last hour postponement.

“We have more than 5 000 members in the province, mostly in Nkangala at Siyabuswa, KwaMhlanga, Witbank, Delmas, Nkomazi and Pienaar. All of them were ready to attend the event tomorrow, but we have agreed that we need more time to prepare ourselves for a successful mass rally in the province, hence the reason for the postponement to a date yet to be announced,” he said.

Lubisi explained that it is for the first time for him to be a full card carrying member of a political party in the country. “I had always voted for the ANC, but I was not its full time member,” he said.

Khoza formed ADC after her resignation from the ruling party and parliament earlier last year after speaking out against corruption within the governing party.
