Who will succeed DD as chairperson of the province?

The begging question on everybody's lips right now is, who is the likely candidate to replace Mabuza in the province?

There’s a mounting likelihood that Nkosana Dlamini-Zuma may emerge as the ANC’s new president when results are announced later today at the ANC’s 54th National Conference taking place at NASREC in Johannesburg from Saturday and ending on Wednesday although there’s a favourable chance that Cyril Ramaphosa may emerge the victor, after all.

Mpumalanga premier, Mr David Mabuza is also predicted to be elected as the new Deputy President of the organisation, too. This was disclosed by a close source of the provincial team, known to this publication who disclosed that mammoth celebrations are in store to celebrate the province’s victory into ascending to the top two positions of the organisation.
Asked if the election of Mabuza as Deputy President will mean an early provincial elective conference in Mpumalanga, the source said; “Yes, of course, there’ll be an elective conference to replace Mabuza in the province as chairperson and premier. Mpumalanga has worked very hard for the liberation of the people of South Africa and it’s about time that it gets a share in the spoils, especially the top two positions.”
