One person died while two other people, including a three-year-old sustained serious injuries after being hit by a speeding car on the R571 Road at Block C in Nkomazi on Sunday.
“The driver was arrested and is expected to appear before the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court today facing charges of culpable homicide,’’ confirmed Tonga Police .
Two people died and two were left seriously injured when a bakkie they were travelling in overturned on the R38 Road between Hendrina and Carolina on Saturday.

Two more people died when a sedan and a truck collided on Sunday. The accident occurred on the R37 Road between Mbombela and Lydenburg. The two people who died were occupants of the sedan. The truck driver escaped without any injuries.
Mr Pat Ngomane, MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, urges motorists to remain alert on the road at all times to avoid crashes that continue to claim lives.
