Eskom helps learners from disadvantaged school

The organisation endeavours to create an environment that is conducive to teaching and learning at schools within communities where it operates

KABOKWENI- The Eskom Development Foundation donated school uniforms and teaching aids at Sifunindlela primary school.
The no-fee school established in 1991 with 1 026 learners received 41 donations for orphaned learners as well as social sciences study material.

Through the Eskom Development Foundation, the company supports ongoing efforts to improve South Africa’s education system. The donation forms part of this drive and commitment to bringing about meaningful and sustainable development in communities.

The Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Ms Cecil Ramonotsi, said the organisation is committed to making a difference in communities and demonstrating that Eskom is more than just an electricity supplier.

“Donations such as these to schools and other social institutions are amongst the many ways we are working on achieving our goals and bringing about positive change and growth,”said Ramonotsi.
