Three stolen vehicles recovered

The police received information about a suspicious vehicle that was travelling towards Naas direction with a KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) registration number.

TONGA – Three stolen vehicles were recovered by the Tonga police on Friday.

The police received information about a suspicious vehicle that was travelling towards Naas direction with a KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) registration number. A white Ford Everest vehicle was intercepted at Block A and three suspects were arrested.

 

 

“While searching the vehicle, another set of car keys were found. The suspects were taken to the lodge where they were staying and two more cars were found, a Ford Ranger and 4×4 Toyota Hilux also with KZN registration numbers. All vehicles were stolen from KZN, one from Mountclair, one from Point in Durban and the other from Berea,’’ explained Capt Magonseni Nkosi of Tonga Police Station.

All three suspects are still in custody and are due to appear before the Nkomazi Magistrate court today.

Tonga station commander, Brig Velisiwe Mdaka commended the officers’ good work and encouraged community members to report more suspicious looking vehicles, persons and goods they spot.
