Taxi fares increase from December 1

This will affect travellers from Mbombela to areas around Kanyamazane, Pienaar, Daantjie, Msogwaba, Matsafeni, Riverside Mall, Kamagugu and White River.

NELSPRUIT- Taxi fares are set to increase for commuters around Mbombela from Friday.

Mr Muntu Gama, the public relations officer of Top Star Taxi Association confirmed this on Monday.

“We are also forced by circumstances including the increase of fuel price to increase taxi fares which we normally do once in a year. Our customers need to understand and bear with us that for us to sustain in this industry, we need to increase fares at times,” he said.

He added that the fares will go up by R1 to R2.
